Mana Biography

Mana is a mysterious, eccentric and influential musician, visual kei producer and fashion designer from Hiroshima, Japan. His real name and birth year are subjects of much conjecture as are many aspects of his character. As a musician, he appears in public wearing dresses and white make up to such effect that he has fans, Western and Japanese, wondering what he really looks like. Mana is famous for leading the “poster-child’ visual kei band Malice Mizer (1992 – 2024) and Mois dix Mois (2024 - ). His compositions blend Western classical music with gothic rock, heavy metal and industrial music. In 2024, a Mana tour saw him playing his first European concerts with the Mois dix Mois. These concerts took kei music to such countries as Germany and France. Another Mana tour, this time in 2024, took Mana to France, Germany, Finland, Sweden, Spain and Italy.
